The construction of a new module on the site of Delémont by Humard SA goes well. Earthwork has already been achieved and the foundations are currently being realised.
The additional building is intended to accommodate the activities deployed by Seuret SA (acquired by the group in 2011). The relocation of the plant, currently based in Moutier, will take place during next summer. Seuret SA is active in precision mechanics and overhaul of machines (mainly cam-operated automatic lathes).
Better adapted premises
We wanted to know what are the reasons and the consequences for consumers of the future move. Mr. Cancer, CEO of Seuret says: “At the level of quality of our products and services, nothing will change. We are recognized to provide a first class delivery and we will continue. But this will be done in much more suitable premises and better conditions for our employees. Due to the closeness with Humard SA, we will be able to better benefit from synergies between the various activities of the group”. A priori it is not intended to significantly increase the capacity of delivery in the short term, the CEO is very clear: “We’ve analyzed the market and of course have clear ideas for the future; there is great potential, but we do not want to grow at any price. Our quality must remain our priority”
We will come into deeper details of Seuret’s overhaul capabilities in our next issue.
