At the Hannover Messe Preview I discussed with the specialists of Technische Antriebselemente GmbH. This company located in Hamburg is specialised in drive technology and linear systems. They just launched a new electro piston… let’s have a look at it. Many companies try to replace pneumatic or hydraulic pistons by electrical ones. Technische Antriebselemente GmbH now offers them an interesting alternative. The new electro piston benefits from a patented technology without any electric (…)

Making full use of solvent performance
In many industrial cleaning applications the use of solvents yields valuable process advantages. Committed to making optimum use of these benefits, Dürr Ecoclean keeps refining and improving its equipment portfolio continually to adapt each cleaning system perfectly to its task and enhance the cost efficiency, process reliability and sustainability of the solvent-based cleaning process. Organic solvents are commonly used in industrial part and surface cleaning where highly oil-contaminated (…)

At the dawn of new treatments...
If the world of surface treatments has seen many innovations in recent years, we are only at the beginning of a (r)evolution which sees parts be treated to combine several functions to obtain unimaginable results not so long time ago. To talk about it and draw parallels with mountaineering, we’ve met with Mr. Samuel Estoppey, Director of the Estoppey-Reber group and great admirer of mountains... and the comparison between mountain and surface treatment is very relevant! “We want to discover (…)

Energy efficiency as major trend
The Hannover Messe preview took place last week in Hannover and I was lucky to be there to discuss with some exhibitors and the organisers. It was amazing to see that at least half of the companies I visited talked about energy efficiency. It is still a major trend, let’s see an example. In any workshop people are using compressed air and most of the time that resource is seen as necessity evil and anyhow not a topic top deal with to add value to the company.... things may be seen (…)
