For over 25 years, Robert Renaud SA (Bevaix - Switzerland) develops and produces high quality spindles. Their precision, performance and quality reputation goes far beyond the borders of the country. The company offers a wide product range of standard spindles and also develops tailor-made solutions.
The new spindle and its carbon body (optional) impresses by its finishing degree and the quality and power impression it creates. For instance the new HFCC 210580, HSK 63 A. Power 42 kW, rotation speed 24’000 min -1.
The company has taken advantage of its knowledge of spindle manufacturer and experience in high precision fields to develop a new range of electro spindles for machining centers. Thus the new HFCC series has been designed to meet production requirements as demanding as for machine-tool, automotive industry or aeronautics.
Modular range Having placed the customers’ need at the heart of the development of the HFCC family, Robert Renaud offers a modular range that combines proven principles to the latest technologies available on the market. The outer geometry of spindles can also be adapted as required, and with a range of nominal diameters from 150 mm to 280 mm, it aims to ensure its integration on all types of machining centers whatever the position, horizontal, vertical or oblique. The manufacturer obviously provides complete solutions tailored to every need. HFCC electro spindles are available with normalised DIN69893 HSK tool attachments size 50, 63, 80 or 100 in A form (with indexing fingers) or E (without indexing fingers).
Precision and quality by design The dimensional accuracy and high finishing level desired by the manufacturer ensure an eccentricity of rotation and a circular run out error of the toolholder attachment frontal plane below 0.0015 mm. Completed with a pneumatic or hydraulic automatic clamping/unclamping system, the tool holder system is particularly robust and ensures precision binding with exceptional and sustainable repeatability. Bearings composed of high-precision spindle bearings and shaft section have been carefully studied to obtain a robust set with high load capacity and optimal radial and axial rigidity. Grease or oil-air lubrication of bearings allows to achieve spindle speeds of 24 000 min-1 and 36’000 min-1 depending on the model. A particular care of dynamic balancing is also imposed by the high finishing degree intended by Robert Renaud SA. HFCC range is equipped with asynchronous or synchronous technology motorization including liquid cooling and is specially developed to ensure maximum power density. Thus some models of this series deliver power up to 125 kW and torque up to 200 Nm. Thanks to the modularity of available options, such as rotational speed measurement, angular management, detection of tool clamping with analog signal, temperature or vibration analyse, central or external lubrication, a lot of possibilities can be integrated.
