Willemin-Macodel is presenting the compact 5-axis machining centre 308B as "world premiere" at IDS in Cologne from March 12 to 16. This production tool offers outstanding flexibility thanks to its possibility to machine parts either from bars or in one-piece mode.

The 308B machining centre for machining short bars or disks is the newest creation of Willemin-Macodel presented at IDS show.
For hard material Requiring an extremely reduced floor space, the machine 308B allows machining of complex parts on every hard material (titanium, chrome-cobalt) as well as zirconium material. This very compact machining centre offers great flexibility especially thanks to its high-speed spindle mounted on a rotating axis and to its 28-position tool-magazine. The functions integrated in the machine offer a lot of machining possibilities and thus open new fields of application. The manufacturing quality and rigid construction of the 308B guarantee a rapid return of investment, thanks to its excellent stability and the durability of its performance over time. .
. Key points of the 308 machines
- Simple clamping of parts
- Cost reduction on rough material
- Shorter machining time
- Reduced tooling costs
- Reduced set-up time
- Operational autonomy
- Automatic unloading of fully-machined parts
- Machining from barstock up to Ø 27 mm
.
The version 308S developed for disk machining will also be presented at IDS show in Cologne, on booth L028-M029, Hall 3.1.
.

The tool-magazine has 28 positions to offer full production flexibility.
