Solid carbide high-performance drills from speciality brand Walter Titex now also available with external cooling.

X.treme DIN 6537 long with shank DIN 6535 HA - now also available with external cooling.

The solid carbide high-performance drills from the X.treme product range represent maximum productivity, process reliability and an extremely wide range of applications, as they can be used universally for all material groups. With this most recent addition, a version with external cooling, Walter has now made this successful range of tools complete.

A full range available The X.treme solid carbide high-performance drills of the Walter Titex speciality brand are now immediately available in the diameter range 3 to 25 mm including external cooling. Apart from the different cooling method, they offer users the same advantages as the already tried-and tested version with internal cooling. The most striking feature of these tools is the four lands, which improve the guidance, thereby ensuring maximum process reliability, even in critical drilling situations. This enables the drills to maintain their direction at the drill entrance or exit, even when machining inclined surfaces.

Maximum too life and more All drills in the series have an aluminium chromium nitride-based XPL coating, which currently represents the highest level of development for solid carbide twist drills. In addition to the universal use of the tools for all ISO material groups, the user also benefits from maximum tool life. Other features of this range of products include internal – and now external – cooling, a 140 degree point angle and an HA or HE shank according to DIN 6535. The h6 shank tolerance enables seating in shrink fit chucks. These new solid carbide high-performance drills of the Walter Titex speciality brand replace the previous Alpha®4 series. The new generation was originally launched with the internally cooled configuration according to DIN 6537 long, in diameters ranging from 3 to 25 mm. The length/bore ratio according to this standard is around 5xd.
