The Seco X4 Grooving System with its indexable inserts with four cutting edges and high-stability clamping system offers convincing arguments in use with excellent repeat accuracy, high productivity and outstanding surface quality for the workpieces to be machined. Various grooving and cut-off widths from 0.5 – 3 mm, also in inch dimensions, enable the best solution for productive grooving. With a maximum cutting depth of 6.5 mm, the X4 is suitable for cutting off components with a diameter of up to 13 mm. A single clamping holder - whether with a Seco-Capto, shank or blade design - can hold any desired grooving or cut-off width. This reduces the tool stock on-site and saves costs in the process.
Complete solution With the new indexable inserts for circlip grooves (FG) with widths of 1.15 to 2.65 mm and full-radius indexable inserts (R) with widths of 1 to 3 mm and a cutting depth up to 6 mm, a diverse range of grooving and cut-off widths is available for all applications. The tool holders are equipped with Jetstream Tooling® Duo, a system for high-pressure coolant supply with which two highly accurate coolant nozzles are directed directly at the cutting edge and therefore provide for improved chip management at low or high pressure. This has a positive effect on the service life and also increases the surface quality of the workpiece.
