The Siams is on its way and it seems the issue will be a very good one, the alleys are full and the exhibitors very busy. On the Schaublin booth there are two machines and this afternoon I caught a glimpse of champions there.

The Schaublin booth presents two innovations: 142 7AX-Y-CP The company exhibits the 142 7AX-Y-CP with integrated loading and unloading robotic system. The new 142 7AX-Y-CP machine being presented is part of a modular range that includes several models with between 2 and 7 linear axes to suit the exacting needs of the end user. The range enables Schaublin Machines to present a machining solution clearly dedicated to production environments as well as small batch or prototype machining.
202TG To turn and grind on the same machine... The machining zone of the 202TG has been specially designed to be resistant to the abrasive powders (grinding) and chips (turning and milling). It is modular and allows different types of configuration, for example:
- Turning/milling machine with tooling of a 102 lathe and a turret
- Grinding machine with 4 grinding spindles (internal and/or external)
- Combined machine with a turret and grinding spindles
Basically the kinematics of the machine is simple, it includes a synchronous motorspindle (up to 7’000 rpm, 30 Nm) with a W25 nose and possible use of a bar loader (diam. 19 mm max.). Two cross-slides receive the different tooling on both sides (here a turret on the back and two grinding spindles on the front) and the tailstock as well as the part catcher are mounted on a gantry.
To be discovered on the Schaublin booth at Siams till the end of the week (at least for the machines, Didier Cuche was there this afternoon only ;o)
