URMA AG adds 3D printing solutions from Formlabs to its portfolio
URMA AG is expanding its offering with professional desktop 3D printing solutions from Formlabs, the world’s leading provider of high-end SLA and SLS printing systems. URMA AG will now distribute Formlabs polymer 3D printers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, including consulting, service, and support.

URMA AG is pleased to announce that, as of September 1, 2025, it will take over the distribution and service of Formlabs polymer 3D printers as an ideal addition to its existing additive manufacturing offering. With Formlabs’ professional desktop 3D printers, URMA AG is adding particularly user-friendly, precise, and economical systems for prototyping and small-batch production to its range. SMEs, development teams, and educational institutions benefit from an easy entry into professional 3D printing—without high investment costs, complex infrastructure, or extensive training.

Industrial quality on your desktop
The Formlabs portfolio includes powerful SLA and SLS desktop printers that deliver excellent surface quality, high dimensional accuracy, and exceptional ease of use. The systems are ready to use right out of the box and offer a seamless workflow from data preparation to printing to post-processing. Complete ecosystem with over 50 materials

With more than 50 highly developed resins and 7 SLS powder types, Formlabs covers a wide range of applications: from functional prototypes to biocompatible parts, jigs and fixtures, small series, and high-temperature-resistant or flexible components. This makes the technology suitable for many industries, including medical technology and research.

Additive manufacturing as a development tool
Formlabs systems enable the rapid and cost-efficient production of functional prototypes, individual parts, and fixtures directly in-house. Thanks to high print resolution of up to 25 μm, a wide range of functional materials, and automated post-processing solutions, development cycles can be significantly shortened. This supports agile product development and facilitates internal design validation, especially for small series, feasibility studies, or test phases in industrial environments.

URMA Competence Center for Industrial 3D Printing
As one of the leading providers of industrial 3D printing, URMA AG is strengthening its market position with the expanded Formlabs portfolio and can respond even more specifically to market requirements. A central element of this strategy is the URMA Experience Center, which is currently under construction. CNC machines, 3D printers, post-processing machines, and other machining solutions will be presented in a spacious exhibition area. In the modern showroom, interested parties will be able to experience additive manufacturing along the entire process chain – from design and production to post-processing and quality control. The space concept is complemented by meeting rooms and an auditorium for training, technology transfer, and events. This will create the largest center of excellence for industrial 3D printing in Switzerland in spring 2026.
