"EPHJ/EPMT/SMT" goes to Genève from its 2012 edition

Yesterday the organizers of the well known event announced that they were unable to find an agreement with the owners of the Beaulieu fairground (with the new strategy of Beaulieu). Thus the 2012 issue will take place in Genève Palexpo.

This year the event is a special one as it’s the 10th of EPHJ, the 5th of EPMT and the first of SMT… and then the last in Lausanne.

I recently contacted MM Colard and Saenger owners of the trade show about the evolution of "their babies" and how they feel. I asked, if after all of these issues, it is still exciting to organize such an event. The answer was crystal clear: More than ever! To succeed, we need to question permanently what we do to always improve the quality of the show and the benefits brought to exhibitors and visitors. This is the recurrent theme from the beginning. We are very pleased of the synergies the show has helped create between exhibitors, very satisfied with businesses our exhibitors have been able to do and happy to see that the show continues its harmonious development. The fidelity rate of exhibitors is excellent and demonstrates that the show meets an important need of exhibitors. For 2011, we decided to face a new challenge with the creation of the SMT (Swiss Medical technology) pavilion in EPMT. (Full interview to be discovered in our next issue).

I bet that the change of location is another challenge that will be faced with full passion and optimism by the owners.

Will the show in Genève be drastically different for exhibitors and visitors? So far the trade show has grown following the same spirit and I don’t think a location change would affect it. Do you?

Machine tool orders holding up well

Orders received by the German machine tool industry in the third quarter of 2022 were 9 percent up on the previous year’s figure. Orders received by the German machine tool industry in the first quarter of 2022 were 44 per cent up on the same period last year.
