The first exhibition for technological excellence serving industry, created in 1954, lavishly concluded its 2018 edition "Humans in Industry". This edition was filled with innovation, employment and training, international and cobotics.
Philippe Carrier, President of Rochexpo, exclaims: “This 2018 edition of SIMODEC is record-breaking in numbers but also in terms of the volume of business made by the exhibitors. This edition is in line with the positive situation in the bar turning industry that has exceeded record-breaking revenue in 2018, generating 2.2 billion euros. SIMODEC is 7 million euros in direct benefits on the events sector, 4.3 million euros of indirect benefits—tourism, hotels, food and beverage, transportation—and over 48 million euros in business between exhibitors and visitors. "
Quality visitors and a lot of them... a trade show where projects become reality With a total attendance of 18,704* people (*in the process of being validated by the OJS), SIMODEC was the meeting place for the various players and professionals in the machining, bar turning and mechanical industries as a whole. During the four days of the show, visitors were able to discover the innovations of more than 300 exhibitors. The exhibitors’ first feedback underlines the quality of the visitors and the resulting dynamic business.
Genuinely international SIMODEC 2018 reinforced the international position the show holds thanks to its exhibitors and visitors, with almost 11 % from abroad. 47 international exhibitors from 10 different countries participated in the show: Switzerland (18), Italy (13), Germany (8), Belgium, UK, Spain, Sweden, USA, India, China
Simodec: showcasing industry As the doors to SIMODEC have just closed, it shows that this event is an unmissable event for the industry. The show federated the different partners across the industry including institutions and financial and political bodies. SIMODEC is a showcase for the entire profession, mainly during the inaugural visit by Laurent Wauquiez, President of the Rhône-Alpes Auvergne Region.
