Hannover Messe – Day 4 – I went to see Optris, the Berlin-based company presents a new addition in its product range, simply the smallest VGA-resolution infrared camera worldwide. After the optris® PI Lightweight last year, Optris GmbH presents the next novelty in the online thermal imaging market for the second year running at this year’s Hannover industrial fair HMI. “Our superior quality products are ideal for integration in industrial and R&D processes. Cold-formed aluminium lead screws: it’s new and it works!
Hannover Messe day three - I’ve just discovered the Eichenberger new lead screws in aluminium. Amazing, those weight a third of normal steel parts and offers the same functions (and more). Lightweight design has become one of the key future technologies in the aerospace, automotive and mechanical engineering fields and companies will be happy to learn that there are actually solutions allowing them to keep that pace. Material versatility recognised Aluminium is the most-used metallic (…)
Clamping
To clamp and centre precisely
Hannover Messe day two… a quite genial system to clamp parts of any shape very precisely yet using very simple and not so precise clamping parts is presented by Ijspeert Innovative Technologies on Hall 2, stand D54. Ijspeert Innovative Technologies transforms CERN’s cutting edge techniques into efficient industrial applications Ideal for any shape The diaphragm technique of CERN is ideal for the clamping and centring of parts of any shape, eg for their machining on a lathe or a CNC (…)
Trade show
Looking for a supplier?
With Hannover Messe 2014, the biggest marketplace to find the right supplier has just opened its doors in Hanover and you can go visit it till the end of the week. As usual we at Eurotec are mainly focused on high precision and microtechnology, there are many companies to discover and many skills to speak about…. We’ll be busy digging all those. A small (and nice) Swiss booth On the Hall 4 – Stand C12, Switzerland is represented by a quite small booth (I wonder why there are so few (…)

Cam autos as of day one... or even better!
The golden age of automatic lathes manufacturers probably lies in the middle of last century when three Swiss companies shared the market and were selling cam autos by tens of thousands. In the 1960s, small structures specialized in overhauling those machines have appeared. 50 years later, that trade is flourishing and offers interesting prospects. Some companies also develop new devices to enhance cam-autos capabilities. Meeting with Mr. Carlos Cancer, CEO of Seuret SA, overhaul (…)
High Precision Machining
The most robust and flexible gear cutting machine on the market
Affolter will present the new AF110 at Siams in Moutier, Switzerland, from May 6 to 9, 2014 (Hall 2.2, stand A-1). Later in the year, the company will have a booth at the EPHJ in Geneva (June 17-20) and will again present the AF110 at the AMB in Stuttgart (16-20 September). In 2010, the R&D team of Affolter undertook the design of the AF110. Result? The most robust and flexible gear cutting machine on the market to date: "In comparison with the AF100, we have doubled the clamping force (…)
Innovation
