The part realised on the 408S2 will be a blisk and the part machined on the 408MT will be a pinion realised by gear-hobbing. This machine will also present a 500 mm bar loading device.
408S2 - Simultaneous 5-axis machining centre The 408S2 machining centre is equipped with a high precision, rotating dual-divider. This machine is designed for machining complex, prismatic workpieces of 80 mm of edges and offers turning operations up a speed of 4,000 rpm. Its compact size, its significant static and dynamic rigidity make it a leader in simultaneous 5-axis machining.
408MT - Simultaneous 5-axis machining centre for bar or slug stock This machining centre meets the production requirements of both small and large production runs of complex workpieces. This machine tool perfectly combines bar machining technology up to 32 mm diameter (option 36 mm) with the flexibility of automatic back working operation. The high performance motorspindle (up to 42,000 rpm) is adapted to the most demanding operations. Tools storage up to 48 positions offering a chip to chip time of 0.8 seconds as well as the various bar loaders offer great potential for machining.
