CastForge gets off to a good start: More than 100 exhibitors registered

February 2018

Messe Stuttgart acquired the 100th exhibitor for CastForge with Rosswag GmbH. The trade fair for castings and forgings with machining takes place from 5 to 7 June 2018 at the Stuttgart trade fair centre. The participation of numerous companies and associations from abroad highlights the international importance of the event.

"We were very excited over the last few days to see which company we would be announcing as the 100th exhibitor", states Gunar Mey, Department Director for Industrial Solutions at Messe Stuttgart. "We are very pleased to report Rosswag GmbH, one of the leading companies in the area of forging technology. It also highlights that we struck the right chord in the industry with the trade fair concept."

For Thomas Keller, Sales Manager at Rosswag GmbH, there is another strong argument for exhibiting at CastForge besides the specific alignment of the trade fair in Stuttgart: "For us, with our head office in Pfinztal the trade fair is a home game so to speak, which addresses our target group exactly. As a market leader in the area of forging technology, with CastForge we see a massive opportunity to address new customers and establish contact."

Shortly before the registration of Rosswag GmbH, Messe Stuttgart received confirmation of participation from Odlewnia Żeliwa Śrem. The PGO Group, the largest manufacturer of castings and forgings in Poland, will exhibit here. Their Vice Chair Andrzej Bulanowski explains: “CastForge is the first trade fair for castings and forgings with machining. For us it is therefore a promising platform for the presentation of our products. In addition, the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region is a very important sales market for our company. The attractive venue in Stuttgart, capital of the state of Baden-Württemberg, also plays a key role here. The trade fair gives us an excellent opportunity to establish business contacts and acquire new customers.”

The Foundry Association of the Czech Republic is also convinced of the trade fair and decided straight away to take part. In just 14 days eight members were already acquired for a joint stand. For the association’s President, Josef Hlavinka, the positive response was not surprising. He adds: "This trade fair is the only one to specialise in cast iron parts and forgings. There is currently no shortage of orders. However, our member companies are looking to the future and as a result want to showcase themselves at this trade fair. It is an exciting platform for us, in order to come into contact with a range of distinguished companies for whom the Foundry Association of the Czech Republic has a lot to offer. We are confident that this trade fair will open up new opportunities and possibilities." Germany is an important market for the Foundry Association of the Czech Republic. "Our industry also depends primarily on exports. Around 80 percent of overall production is exported, of which around 70 percent goes to Germany", reports Josef Hlavinka.

Messe Stuttgart is an attractive location for CastForge. South-west Germany is one of the largest hubs of manufacturing industries in Europe. Furthermore, the trade fair grounds has good transport connections, meaning visitors from Germany and abroad can conveniently travel to the trade fair by car, public transport or plane. Lastly, Messe Stuttgart bundles high industrial and organisational competence in its team and with its industrial fairs alone addresses more than 3,200 exhibitors and over 125,000 visitors. Exhibitors and visitors of CastForge reap these benefits.
