This year, Chiron’s Open House 2011will take place from May 18 - 21, 2011 in Tuttlingen, and again offer interesting innovations. Here is a sneak preview of the highlights.

. New double-spindle DZ 08K S Magnum The company will be celebrating a world premiere with the first-time presentation of the new double-spindle DZ 08K S Magnum five axis – a super-fast compact machine of the 08 series for excellent surface quality. Double-spindle = double precision and maximum productivity in one set-up – with this, you cut production times in half and drastically reduce piece costs. This worldwide novelty is available with a turning option and will be demonstrated live: Be there when operator mill a turbo charger compressor wheel made of high-strength aluminium with two spindles, twice as fast – but with the same dynamics and precision as with 1-spindle machining.
The new Big Mill Chiron is also presenting a second innovation live, the BIG MILL, now also with Chiron swivel head and high-torque spindle – for more power, dynamics and precision. It will convince you with its very high milling capacity and robustness. With its large work area, it is excellently suited for machining large workpieces, e.g. in mechanical engineering, power plant technology and the aerospace industry. For a machine this size, the BIG MILL is extraordinarily fast and dynamic. The basic version of the tool magazine has room for 48 HSK-A 100 or SK 50 tools.
