LASYS, which will take place from 21 to 23 June 2022, is the only international trade fair to focus on solutions for laser material processing. Since the start of the trade fair in 2008 it has successfully positioned itself as a user platform for laser system solutions and applications. LASYS is primarily aimed at decision-makers from the international industry across all sectors and covers a variety of materials. It shows the enormous application potential and range of applications.
At the last trade fair in 2018, 5,750 visitors obtained information on the use of lasers in industrial production from 189 exhibitors of 23 nations. The Messe Stuttgart team builds on the positive spirit of the last event and designs the concept in close cooperation with the members of the trade fair Advisory Board. Next year, LASYS should once again be a valuable platform for the industrial knowledge transfer and professional exchange of information and ideas in the industry, bringing together those looking for solutions and providers specialising in laser material processing. "At LASYS, a scientific professional programme and practical laser applications are closely interlinked. As a specialist for laser micro processing we feel at home here", highlights Florian Lendner, CEO of GFH GmbH and Member of the LASYS Advisory Board. Companies from abroad also confirm the relevance of the Stuttgart-based trade fair and appreciate the high quality of the visitors. For example, the Israeli company Civan Lasers tripled its stand area for 2022. "We exhibited at LASYS in 2018 for the first time and were overwhelmed by the response at the trade fair stand. In order to position ourselves even better next year, we increased our presence with a much bigger stand area", explains Ami Spira, Marketing Manager of Civan Lasers from Israel.
Rethinking and actively shaping networking
Personal conversations have become even more important in recent months and have taken on a new and valuable dimension – also for the players in laser material processing. An intensive exchange of ideas and making profit-generating contacts are important objectives when participating in trade fairs. On the three trade fair days LASYS offers a variety of opportunities for the professional exchange of information and ideas and promotes networking within the industry and conversations with experts with new concepts, such as a Captain’s Lunch.
The industry will also benefit next year from the valuable knowledge transfer of the Stuttgart Laser Technology Forum (SLT), which brings together researchers, developers and users in a congress on the first two days of the trade fair. The SLT is organised by the Institut für Strahlwerkzeuge (IFSW) at the University of Stuttgart. The IFSW adopts a holistic research approach from the laser beam source to the application in manufacturing processes. Since 2008 the SLT are held in close cooperation with LASYS.
