MouldingExpo gets off to a flying start: First hall already full

A few weeks ago, Messe Stuttgart first announced that MouldingExpo (5 - 8 May 2015), the international trade fair for tool, pattern and mould making, will celebrate its première in Stuttgart in the coming year.

A message with very positive feedback in the industry: There are now already over 100 confirmations. In addition, there are quite a number of specific stand area requests and a variety of expressions of interest. Currently both the Verband Deutscher Werkzeug- und Formenbauer (VDWF), (Association of German Tool and Mould Makers), and Modell- und Formenbau Bundesverband (MF), (Federal Association of Mould and Die Production), have each announced and registered joint stands for their association members. VDWF President, Heiko Semrau, is expecting 20 co-exhibitors at the member platform, Helmut Brandl, Marketing Manager of MF, is expecting ten exhibitors.

Meeting the demand The first trade fair hall is thus already full. "This shows us that we struck a chord in the industry with our concept", states Ulrich Kromer von Baerle, President of Messe Stuttgart. "The MouldingExpo has a clear theme focus and clear value proposition. The tool, pattern and mould maker takes centre stage, and meets his desired customer industries at our trade fair every two years: For mould making the contact partners are from the plastics industry and for punching and forming technology there are customers from metalworking. The area manufacturers and systems for tool, pattern and mould making completes the exhibition range of the trade fair." Another reason for the positive feedback: Before being brought to the market, the concept for the new trade fair was developed and agreed with the relevant industrial companies of the economically advanced industry (8.8 billion Euro in sales in 2012). The Moulding Expo Stuttgart is also supported by the key associations.

Rapid technology on board A further indicator of success for MouldingExpo: The Advisory Board of Rapid.Tech, trade fair and user conference for rapid technology, is advocating a cooperation venture with MouldingExpo. Messe Erfurt and Messe Stuttgart already began talks a few weeks ago, in order to negotiate a cooperation venture between Rapid.Tech and MouldingExpo.
