Record level of registrations for the 2012 edition!

February 2012

Four months before its opening, the EPHJ-EPMT-SMT Show records a level of registrations higher than the 2011 edition with already 600 exhibitors who have officially confirmed their participation.

The 2012 edition of the annual international Show EPHJ (Watchmaking Professional Environment) - EPMT (MicroTechnology Professional Environment) - SMT (Swiss Medical Technologies) will take place at Geneva Palexpo, from 5 till 8 June 2012 and is already a success.

A bet that is going to pay The list of the exhibitors registered to this day perfectly reflects the whole Swiss and international industry in the fields of the microtechnology and watchmaking subcontracting. As for the sector of Swiss Medical Technologies (SMT) represented for the first time in 2011, its doubling is expected for the next edition. By going to Geneva the organizers changed the show’s position on the market and this not only geographically. It is more open than ever to the international markets and it seems that this attracts a lot of companies.

A very large offer on the market Without entering into a polemic, it’s quite true that exhibitors (and visitors) have a lot of possibilities to present their stuff this year. Just in Switzerland, a manager of a company active in microtechnology can decide to attend:

This without speaking about close France and Germany that both include a few very targeted shows.

. Positioning In this context of fierce competition, will all these shows have the possibility to grow? Is their positioning clear and different enough to “be unique”? And is this uniqueness strong enough to be communicated efficiently into their customers’ minds? Indeed there may be several quite similar shows; the market will have to decide what are the ones they would like to see blossom in 2013.

I will try to meet all these organizers soon and will inform you how they see things later here.

Cheers
