Swisstech in Basel has once again confirmed its role as Europe’s central fair for the supplier industry. Over the four days of the exhibition, the 556 exhibitors from 20 countries had everything on show to make a buyer’s heart beat faster. The full range of steps in the value-added chain was on display, from raw materials, via nanotechnology, right through to complete systems. This time too, the high-grade accompanying events attracted a high level of interest amongst the 24,360 visitors, who used them as knowledge and contact platforms.
The exhibitors’ mood was a highly positive one, following an economically demanding past few months. Many used their presence at the exhibition not only to present products and innovations but also to engage in personal discussions with existing and potential customers. It thus proved to be a valuable trend barometer.
