Maier Werkzeugmaschinen, Wehingen, has just launched a new Swisstype range from its ML-series: the ML C6. These machines offer a wide range of processing possibilities and are thus equally suitable for simple and complex parts.
To produce long parts such as bone nails or screw economically, the new ML C6 can work with up to three simultaneously engaged tools, two at the main spindle and one at the counter-spindle, thus shortening cycle times. The cutting forces acting transversely on the part can be equalised by the two independently programmable platten. Up to 7 mm, cutting depths are possible per tool without compromising precision. Maier has also worked on the main spindle motor and offers optionally up to 15 KW power, water cooling and optional clamping system.
One base for every machine The machine concept of the ML C6 has a modular structure. The basis of the nine axes machine is a stable, polymer concrete machine bed. In all axes, fast feed reaches 32 m/min. The main spindle can be selected as needed between 220, 320 or even 450 mm. Main and counter-spindle include C-axis. A pneumatic ejector is available for parts with maximum 100 mm length.
With or without guide bush The ML C6 is available as 20, 26, 32, 36 mm bar passage as sliding headstock lathes, with or without guide bush with the MLK C6. The latter model uses a special guide bush and can be transformed in just 20 minutes.
Many options to complete the offer Numerous options allow customers to change the standard C6 machines into tailored solutions. So, each machine can be equipped with additional driven tools for cross, front and rear machining. Other options offered are fire protection, high pressure pump, chip conveyor, Esprit programming and process software, Blum measurement capabilities, thread whirling units, electric clamping system on the main and counter-spindle and integrated bar feeder.
