Three new Star to be launched…

The ST38 that was presented earlier this year seems to have meet well customer’s expectations. This model will be presented again at AMB and Prodex. In Star’s website we can read there will also be three other new products. We’ve found out more but this information has not been confirmed yet by the company

The ST-38 from Star Micronics further develops the series of complex KNC-32 and SV-32 machines. The triple turret design allows users to capitalize on the capability of simultaneous machining.

What’s new According to some information we gathered here and there, it seems that the new products will be:

The SB20: upgrade of the successful SB16 model.
The SF25: new kind of turning machine with vertical machining capability, incorporating a turret and ATC.
The SG42: A fixed head turning centre with turret tooling.

These three machines would broaden the spectrum that Star can cover and then allow the company to extend its customers base. (The information about these machines is not confirmed to me yet).

Probably to be seen at AMB and Prodex. As soon as we know more, we’ll publish news here.

A dynamic solution...

Of course all the tools are being transformed by the typical phenomenon of wear, but lapping-tools offered by Animex are expandable to optimize the lapping process (and compensate wear).
