News to be discovered New 5 axis horizontal machining center - Matsuura MAM 72100H With its new 5 axis horizontal machining centre MAM 72-100 H, Matsuura expands its 5 axes product range to the top. The 100H is designed for parts with a maximum diameter of 1000 mm and a height of 770 mm. It is the first time that a company develops a 5 axis machining centre with horizontal spindles. The two axes (torque motors) are equipped with high power drive and offer very high dynamics. The large pieces to be set in hidden time, the MAM 72-100H machining centre includes a double pallets changer for 630 x 630 mm pallets in its basic version.

Miyano ABX64 SYY with 2 turrets and 2 Y axes The Miyano ABX - 64 SYY is an improvement of the ABX-64 SY model. The machine is equipped with 2 turrets and 2 Y axes to machine high complexity parts. The performance of the driven tools has also been significantly increased. Unique feature of its kind, the two turrets can both work independently on the main and the counter-spindle. The 12 tooling positions of each turret can welcome live tools. With 24 possible live tools this machining centre allows to machine parts of extreme complexity from a bar up to 65 mm Ø. All guiding are grinded and grated in the factory, which ensures high accuracy and reliability of the turning centre. The diffusion of heat is reduced to a minimum. No need for continuous adjustments on tools wear, parts are within the tolerances from the beginning of the machining.

Brother TCS2DN - Machining of threads up to M27 thanks to a higher torque The redesigned TC S2DN’s Brother model offers now a main spindle featuring a couple of 92 Nm. During tests in the Japanese factory, it has been possible to machined M27threads on CK45 material. This dimension is exceptional, as on this model the spindle’s cone is still a BT30.

New machining method for “fir-tree” profiles

Delcam is working with Iruba, a German provider of engineered solutions, and machine-tool manufacturer Hermle to develop a novel five-axis machining method, programmed with the PowerMILL CAM system, for the creation of “fir-tree” profiles in components for turbo machinery.
