Affolter has developed a new option called „µ-Skiving“, which allows to apply a technique of skive hobbing on smallest gears. Affolter Technologies SA presents at this year’s EMO the new model Gear AF110. With a module range of 1.0 mm (DP 25.4) in steel, Affolter enlarges its Gear Line upwards for applications such as gear box producers, aircraft and automobile suppliers industries. Around 1000 visitors attended the Chiron’s open house from May 18 – 21, 2011 and witnessed the first live demonstration of the compact and fast DZ08 twin-spindle five axis machining center.
