Stephan Nell is set to become the new Chairman of the Management Board of Körber Schleifring on January 1st, 2012. In this position he is succeeding Richard Bauer, who in future will be concentrating fully on his responsibilities as Chairman of the Executive Board of Körber AG.
Körber Schleifring, the holding company of the Machine Tool Division, is also being relocated to Switzerland. This means the holding company is being moved to the direct vicinity of the operating business activities. While the precise date for the relocation has not yet been finalized, it is planned to realize this without undue delay. “Stephan Nell has had a decisive impact on the realignment of the Schleifring Group in recent years,” stressed Bauer. “I am delighted that we have been able to secure the services of this experienced manager, as an internal solution, for this challenging task.”
Nell (43) joined Studer AG in 2003 as Head of Sales. He has been a member of its Management since 2005, and has headed Management Board since 2007. Within the framework of the restructuring of the Schleifring Group, in February 2011 he assumed responsibility at Körber Schleifring Management Board for Sales, Service and Marketing. The Management Team of the Schleifring Group remains unchanged with Stephan Nell and Gustel Baumert as well as Michael Horn, Heinz Poklekowski and Dr. Roland Rütti.
