Hertfordshire-based Electrox, which is part of the 600 Group, has appointed The Minelli Corporation as sole distributor to the Swiss market, meaning Electrox now exports lasers to more than 20 countries worldwide.

The Minelli Corporation, which designs and engineers the MIRA range of high precision computer controlled tooling and equipment for the automotive industry, is already one of the leading distributors of CNC and laser machines to the Swiss market. This together with its strategic location in Zürich, Switzerland’s industrial heartland made the company an extremely attractive partner to Electrox. The company will now offer Electrox’s entire product range from the entry level Raptor, which offers a cost-effective solution for marking metals and plastics, through to the state-of-the-art Scorpion Rapide, a high speed machine that allows complete control of the laser beam parameters in order to mark a wide range of different materials.

First good results The first event on Minelli’s calendar was the Prodex Exhibition in Basle. This gave Reto and his team the opportunity to meet with potential customers and introduce them to the Electrox range, demonstrating the Scorpion Rapide in conjunction with a MaxBox Plus and a Dial Plate flexible heavy-duty laser marking workstation. And the company’s meticulous planning has already paid off in the form of an order for a MaxBoxPlus from leading power and automation technology group ABB Turbo Systems in Switzerland.
