Inaugurated by Delphine Bachmann, State Councillor of the Canton of Geneva, EPHJ is sold out, with 800 companies in attendance. A further demonstration, in a more delicate market context, of its strategic role in terms of innovation, diversification and business development.
The 2025 edition of the EPHJ show, from June 3 to 6, will welcome 798 exhibiting companies this year, up 5% on 2024. These exhibitors come from 16 different countries, a quarter of them outside Switzerland, notably France (97), Germany (33) and Italy (25). Some even came from much further afield: Japan, Canada, China and Hong Kong. The most represented Swiss cantons were Neuchâtel (134), Berne (124), Jura (81), Geneva (80) and Vaud (76). With 114 companies exhibiting for the first time, EPHJ 2025 once again marks a strong renewal and proof of growing interest in high-precision entrepreneurs. While the majority of exhibitors are active in the watchmaking sector (91%), over 54% declare an activity in medtech or microtechnology, confirming the diversification dynamic observed in recent years. More than ever, the ingenuity, hyper- miniaturization and rigor of Swiss precision are attracting demanding sectors such as the medical, aerospace and high-tech connector industries. Over 20,000 trade visitors are once again expected for this 23rd edition.
The future of high precision unveiled at EPHJ
Among the highlights of this year’s show, the Exhibitors’ Grand Prix highlights 5 outstanding innovations selected by a jury of experts: quantum tattooing for invisible authentication (Quantum), nanocoloring by grafting precious metals (UGIEL), shape threading by polygoning (Louis Bélet), piezoelectric crystals with complex geometries (ILM-CNRS) and a patented quick-fastening system for interchangeable metal bracelets (Salin). The winner will be chosen by exhibitors at the end of the first day of the show.
Other not-to-be-missed events include the Innovation Forum, showcasing emerging trends, and, for the first time, the Forum des Métiers d’Art, a showcase for artisanal excellence in partnership with MTTA-Microcity (Neuchâtel). The most eagerly-awaited Round Table on June 5 at 10:00 a.m. will focus on the evolution of the watch market, with Yves Bugmann, President of the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry, Karine Szegedi, Partner, Head of the Luxury Goods Sector at Deloitte, Cyrille Mathieu, Director of the Watchmaking/Jewelry Division of the Acrotec Group, Jean-Jacques Weber, President of the Fédération Française de l’Horlogerie and Nicolas Carrera, CEO of Metalor, who will shed light on the evolution of the price of gold.
Other Round Tables will address the challenges facing medtech on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Switzerland’s Health Valley, the talents of tomorrow and the promise of quantum photonics.
What’s the outlook for the job market?
Finally, the EPHJ Job Dating Day, scheduled for Friday June 6, will facilitate encounters between talent and companies in the high-precision sector, and will open with an interesting round-table discussion at 10:00 a.m. on the future of these technical professions and the state of the job market.
EPHJ 2025 promises to be a showcase of excellence and opportunities in a sector where innovation is more than ever a strategic necessity. Visitors can plan their visit and itinerary using the EPHJ mobile app, available on iOS and Android platforms.
