EvoDeco 10a to replace the famous Deco 10

April 2011

Presenting an automatic lathe destined to replace Deco 10 is no mean feat when it has made such a mark on its era. For over 10 years it held the top spot for flexibility, precision, speed and productivity. Over 2500 lathes of this type are in use today and although its kinematics remains the most efficient today, Tornos wanted to make some modifications to allow the new EvoDeco 10a machine to better meet the needs of customers.

As with EvoDeco 16 a year ago, the key idea for EvoDeco 10 is to develop a successful machine rather than revolutionize it. "Deco 10 remains an extremely capable machine, certainly the best in its market segment" explains Philippe Charles, market segment manager with Tornos.

This new machine will be visible for the first time at mediSIAMS in Moutier from May 3 to 6, 2011. Deliveries are expected for September/October.

. What do customer can expect?

With the EvoDeco 10, Tornos has eagerly taken up the challenge to develop a "legend". To conclude, Mr Charles tells us: "This new turning machine incorporates all the requirements of our customers that already use the Deco 10. We have integrated their remarks, ideas and comments so that we can offer them a precise solution tailored to their expectations".
