Germany comes to meet you

May 2013

Contacts with international contractors are to take centre stage at the Cumbre Industrial y Tecnológica [Industry & Technology Summit] in October this year. This will be the most comprehensive edition of the event so far.

The event will offer three strategic areas: the European Subcontracting Event, a specific area given over to Germany as “guest country” and the Aerotrends aerospace business brokerage forum. Further to the traditional areas centred on subcontracting, automation, foundry equipment & supplies & surface treatment, these initiatives will help participating firms to promote their business abroad and make contact with new markets and sectors.

International meeting in Spain Internationalisation is one of the watchwords of the event organisers, who are striving to make this the most dynamic forum possible for exchanges and co-operation in industrial matters, with the spotlight on Germany. There will be a joint exhibition area under the Made in Germany motto, and the German market will be discussed in a number of presentations on October 1, which has been designated as “Germany Day”, under slogan “Germany comes to meet you”. The programme is to focus on mechanical engineering, steel, safe and sustainable mobility, new technologies and aerospace. Work is ongoing to co-ordinate visits by groups of purchasers and arrange interviews between German contractors and exhibitors at the event.

A programme designed to attract projects by major European firms The 14th European Subcontracting Forum enables domestic exhibitors at the Summit to make direct contact with heads of purchasing from major European firms with a view to obtaining projects that suit their area of operations. The forum is to invite contractors active in the automotive, electronics, metallurgy, capital goods, machine-tool and railway industries. The supplier profile sought predominantly is that of subcontractors for casting, processing by cutting or shaping, machining, bar cutting, heat treatment, surface coating, mould & die work, electronics, plastics & rubber, stamping and the manufacture of assemblies & sub-assemblies for vehicles.

The biggest forum for capital goods manufacturers too The joint staging of various events in the Industry and Technology Summit enables trade visitors to contact large numbers of suppliers of operations & products used in their manufacturing processes. As part of that framework, the Aerotrends aerospace business brokerage forum makes it possible to access a broader range of suppliers from strategic areas and learn in more detail what they have to offer. The core attractions at this must-see international event for aerospace businesses all over Europe are to be a forum for meetings between contractors and suppliers and talks on trends in the sector.
