GrindTec 2014: Further growth again perceived

October 2013

314 exhibitors, including the leading companies from the field of Grinding Technology, have already booked their stands for the GrindTec 2014. This is already a good 40 more than at the same point in time before the previous GrindTec, which itself was the biggest event so far.

At Grindtec 2014 Rollomatic will show its brand new Lasersmart 500. With this machine Rollomatic will help enable the proliferation of CVD cutting tools. Users will be delighted since the lifetime of such tools is about 5 x longer than those in PVD and 25 x longer than those in hard metal.

The Project Manager Joachim Kalsdorf considers the excellent positioning of the GrindTec to be the decisive factor influencing this run on the specialised trade fair for this sector. “There is no other, more efficient platform for grinding technology companies. This is where the exhibitors achieve fantastic results. In 2012 around 80 per cent assessed their participation as “very good” or “good”. Based on the present booking situation we are also expecting a significant growth for the GrindTec 2014, both with regard to the amount of participating companies and to the amount of space booked.” There are still some possibilities to exhibit there.

GrindTec international: Switzerland in first place in front of Italy – and China is coming The internationality factor of the GrindTec has increased again and stands at present at 34 %, whereby eight per cent of the exhibitors are participating for the first time, or are returning to exhibit after a rest. Traditionally Switzerland dominates among the foreign participants: 41 % of the foreign exhibitors come from there. Italy lies in second place (13 %) followed by China (8 %), Austria (5 %), USA (4 %) and Japan, the Netherlands and Great Britain with 3 % each.

Hall 2 to complete the trade fair circuit The GrindTec 2104 will be presented with a professionally clearer and sharper profile as a platform purely for tool grinding and grinding technology in general. But we will also see structural changes – in particular in Hall 7. For this reason the GrindTec Project Management has decided to include the Hall 2 for the first time, which fits perfectly in the trade fair circuit. This will mean the GrindTec will have 5 exhibition halls in total, with a total exhibition space of 34,000 m².

The next GrindTec will take place on March 19 to 22, 2014. . www.grindtec.de .
