Walter Dünner presents a kit to boost the capabilities of the Tornos Deco 20 machines regarding clamping on the counter-spindle.
The new “large opening set” is delivered complete, with sealing discs and springs.
Basically the maximum stroke way of the counter collet sleeve is of 0.8 mm, which is limiting the opening of the counter collet. With the new pusher developed by Walter Dünner and tested with the company’s customers, the way of the sleeve is increased up to 2.8 mm! This allows a larger opening of the collet.
You want to open more? The company also offers a patented system of large-opening collets. This means a part can be clamped in counter-operation above a shoulder for instance. This type of collet is also frequently used in the medical sector, particularly for clamping a part including a thread. The part can be inserted into the collet and clamped above the thread on the body diameter. This type of clamping is very strong and allows stamping operations on screw heads.
