Lightweight construction topic in a special exhibition area

October 2013

World Fair for Moldmaking and Tooling, Design and Application Development, Euromold presents the newest innovations in the area of lightweight construction from December 03-06, 2013, at the Frankfurt/Main Exhibition Center – On the occasion of EuroMold’s 20th anniversary celebration there will be a special exhibition area “Lightweight Construction, Hybrid Technology, and Hydroforming” in hall 8.0.

Lightweight construction is a hot topic everywhere and some companies actually already sell lightweight solutions like the Schunk lightweight gripper.

EuroMold is the world fair for moldmaking and tooling, design and application development and is held each year at Frankfurt/Main Exhibition Center in Germany. Following the motto “From Design to Prototyping to Series Production,” the fair will once more present the newest innovations, solutions, and products. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, several forward-looking topics will take center stage at the fair: The areas of lightweight construction, hybrid technology, and hydroforming will be presented in their own special exhibition area for the first time.

Energy and resource efficiency In almost all industry sectors – from automobile industry to aircraft construction to packaging industry or telecommunications – the topics energy and resource efficiency become increasingly more important. Above all, new answers in the areas of energy conservation and weight optimization are needed. There is growing demand for solutions offered by lightweight construction, as they promise energy and cost savings due to an improved use of raw materials and weight optimization without incurring any loss of product performance.

Lightweight materials and construction The special exhibition area at EuroMold 2013 provides exhibitors with the opportunity to present their innovations and new synergies as answers to a steadily growing demand for sustainable solutions to visitors from all industry sectors. In addition to a focus on lightweight materials, there will be a special emphasis on the presentation of new bonding and production processes. This presentation will include the required molds and tools used in these processes. Materials, design and construction services, as well as toolmaking technologies will also be part of the special exhibition area “Lightweight Construction, Hybrid Technology, and Hydroforming.”

EurMold 2013 will be held from 03-06 December, 2013, at Frankfurt/Main Exhibition Center. Organiser DEMAT GmbH expects more than 1,100 exhibitors and more than 55,000 visitors.
