Technological leap in the service of microtechnology

In machining by chip removal it is very rare that new machines questions well-established technologies, usually novelties are more or less important developments of known elements. With the 701S machine presented as World Premiere at EMO, Willemin-Macodel is about to change the way we will see machining.

The machine has been invented and built to realise microtechnological parts with new standards in terms of cycle time, precision and surface finishes.

The machine is designed around a parallel architecture as opposed to a classic (serial) one and I haven’t a lot more information for now. What we know for sure:

It is a small machine dedicated to microtechnology with
sub-micronic precision,
dedicated to work by interpolation.
It will include a completely new system to hold the tools and
will not need a lot of energy.

We will come back on the subject of this new machine very soon.
